Bible study on Promises of God

Today and yesterday,  I have been recording some of the promises of God in my Bible study book.  Verses are given and you are instructed to state them in your own words.   What a wonderful way to feast on God's word!

This is the lovely Everyday Life Bible that my husband, Harry, gave me for my last birthday in Dec. 2011--I love it!  It has lessons and comments by Joyce Meyer.
  • let me share a few of them with you:
  • Psalm 31: 19-20  How great is your goodness.  You hide us from evil.
  • Isaiah 43:2  God says "I will be with you thru the waters and the rivers--the fires--You will not be overwhelmed or burnt."
  • 1 Corinthians 1:8-9   He will keep you to the end.   He will protect you against all guilt--He is faithful.
  • Hebrews 4:3   Only those who are His will enter eternal rest.
  • John 14: 1   Don't be scared!    You believe and trust God--believe and trust me!
  • Jude 24    He is able to keep us without stumbling or slipping or falling and will present us as blameless and faultless before God!
  • 1 John 2: 25   He has promised us eternal life!
  • Psalm 91:11  His angels will accompany us and defend and preserve us in all our ways!
  • 2 Thessalonians 2: 16-17   May God comfort and strengthen your heart!
Remember that these are my OWN words.   Look at these verses of promise for yourself and try this exercise.
