5-Star Review of "Plain Change
Review of Plain Change
The Plain Fame series #2
by Sarah Price
After being forced to leave the farm, Amanda Beiler, a young Amish woman from Lititz, Pennsylvania finds herself immersed into the world of Alejandro Diaz, a famous Cuban singer living the life in the limelight of international media. As she travels with Alejandro, she begins to see more of the world and, despite the apparent differences, also recognizes that their lives are more similar than she thought. What happens when that bridge is finally crossed between two very conflicting worlds and two extremely different cultures?
An Amish Christian Romance that will leave you breathless and wanting more. Sarah Price, bestselling author of Amish Christian Romances, brings her twenty-five years of experience living among the Amish and from growing up Mennonite to the pages of her novels and novellas, in order to present a truly authentic Amish experience just for her readers.

MY REVIEW: What a fascinating series! Not so far-fetched either, in a way it is similar to commoners marrying princes in our modern day. Diana was a commoner who married Prince Charles. Kate married Prince William and is not a royal by birth. Grace Kelly married the Prince of Monaco. Diana certainly experienced a great deal of shock and difficulties with the paparazzi. Amanda Beiler certainly has challenges in living with Alejandro Diaz. The paparazzi is everywhere they go and that's why she was forced to leave her Amish home and community. The bishop and her parents wanted to send her away or her parents would be shunned. Not wanting to return to Ohio, and loving Alejandro, she chose to leave with him. He loves that she truly loves him for himself and not for what he can give her. He loves her innocence and seeing the world through her eyes. She will see and do things she has never done as an Amish. Will they make it through this experience together or will she decide to return to her Amish roots?
I loved this novel and I could really feel some of the intense emotions Amanda felt when watching Alejandro with female fans or actresses in his music videos. She did not seem to feel the need for a great amount of clothing and shoes and such, but I must confess to envying that as I was reading. It would be nice to go shopping and not have to worry about the cost of an item. I'm looking forward to reading the third book in the series, Plain Again.
I rated this book 5 stars and highly recommend it. I feel that readers of Christian romance will love this even if they are not lovers of Amish fiction.
I received a free ebook of this selection from netgalley in exchange for my honest review.
