Review of The Girl's Still Got It by Liz Curtis Higgs I have read the book of Ruth in the Bible many times and I have read many Bible study books about Ruth, but none like this one by Liz Curtis Higgs. She makes you feel like you are actually there with Ruth and Naomi experiencing it all. YOu can almost smell the grain as she gleans the field, and feel the sun on her back. You can feel Naomi's bitterness and then you can feel the hope that comes to these ladies through Boaz. Boaz is the kinsman redeemer for Ruth but God is ultimately the kinsman redeemer for us all if we will accept His love. Naomi experiences indescribable joy in the birth of her grandson, Obed. Ruth experiences love and acceptance. Obed knows much about this as his own mother is Rahab, the prostitute. He knows how to make others feel acceptance and love. There is a Bible study at the conclusion of the book which could be used by individuals or groups...
