Review of Twice Loved by Wanda Brunstetter Bestselling author Wanda E. Brunstetter brings you a touching story of a single mother widowed after World War II. Bev Winters’s new job is an answer to prayer and just in time for Christmas—until her boss’s kindness awakens an old longing. Will her pride allow love after loss? Also enjoy a collection of 1940s recipes and handcrafts along with stories and trivia about Christmas 1946. MY REVIEW: I have read many of Wanda Brunstetter's Amish books and loved them, and this World War II Christmas romance was simply enchanting.   I have heard many stories from my granny, mom, and mother-in-law about their experiences in World War II.  My Uncle Pax Booth Jr was killed in Normandy, France at the age of 19.   So the feelings and fears of this  young widow and her young daughter were very real to me.  Thinking of cooking when rationing often meant some ingredients were just not there to use is amazing enough and Wanda included several

A good friend has gone missing, lending truth to the rumors of a serial kidnapper. In her quest to help she becomes a target and will have to make choices about love, friendship and the inevitable sacrifice that they both require. MY REVIEW: Elena Dillon has written another very exciting and fast-paced suspenseful YA romance!   I was so into this book that I lost sleep trying to finish it in one night!  This is a young author book, but I believe adults will enjoy this greatly too, as I certainly did.    There is romance, suspense, plenty of "whodoneit" to fulfill desire for excellent book!!    I was kept busy

Review of The Tattered Quilt

Review of The Tattered Quilt by Wanda Brunstetter  The Half-Stitched Amish Quilting Club Book 2 Join Emma Yoder Miller, the Amish widow-turned-newlywed, as she leads another quilting class with a new group of unlikely students, all with tattered pieces of their lives that need mending. Members of the patchwork group find friendship, faith, healing, and restoration while gathered around their quilts, under the Father’s guiding hands—for only He can take what’s ragged and shabby from the lives of His children and turn it into beauty for His glory. My Review: I fell in love with Emma in The Half-Stitched Amish Quilting Club  and was thrilled to continue to read about Emma and her new marriage to Latham.  They work together to minister to others as they teach them to quilt.  They take very seriously the task of helping the unusual individuals God sends to their classes in a personal way. I really enjoyed seeing the characters from the first book and how their lives intertwin
